SERMON: Do We Care?
SCRIPTURE: Hebrews 12:1-2
RESPONSIVE READING—Deuteronomy 30:15-20
Leader: When all these things have happened to yu, the blessings and the curses that I have set before you, if you call them to mind among all the nations where the Lord you God has driven you,
Everyone: And return to the Lord your God, and you and your children obey Him with all your heart and with all your soul, just as I am commanding you today;
Leader: then the Lord your God will restore your fortunes and have compassion on you, gathering you again from all the peoples among whom the Lord your God has scattered you.
Everyone: Even if you are exiled to the ends of the world, from there the Lord you God will gather you and from there He will bring you back.
Leader: The Lord you God will bring you into the land that your ancestors possessed and you will possess it; He will make you more prosperous and numerous than your ancestors.
AFFIRMATION OF FAITH—MISSION STATEMENT
Embracing God's gift of Jesus' life as our example, and the Holy Spirit as our guide that attracts, welcomes, serves and supports all ages and all people, ever challenged to live in harmony and joy with greater faith, hope and love. No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome here. Jesus didn't turn people away. Neither Do We.
THE LORD'S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name
Thy Kingdom Come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen
