SERMON:  Everyone Wins
SCRIPTURE:  Matthew 18:21-35

RESPONSIVE READING—I Corinthians 13:1-10
Leader: If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
Everyone:  If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
Leader:  If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,  but do not have love, I gain nothing.
Everyone: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
Leader:  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Everyone:  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
Leader:  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres
Everyone:  Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
Leader:  For we know in part and we prophesy in part,
Everyone: but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears.
Leader:  When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.
Everyone:  For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
Leader:  And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

AFFIRMATION OF FAITH--APOSTLES CREED
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried.  He descended into hell.  On the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

THE LORD'S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name
Thy Kingdom Come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.  Amen
