SERMON: Myths of Truth--Adam and Eve
SCRIPTURE: Genesis: 3:1-13
RESPONSIVE READING: I John 4:7-12
Leader: Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God
Everyone: Whoever does not love does not know God for God is love
Leader: God’s love was revealed among us in this way: God sent His only Son into the world so that we might live through him.
Everyone: In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent his Son to be atoning sacrifice for our sins.
Leader: Beloved, since God loved us so much, we also ought to love one another
Everyone: No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God lives in us, and His love is perfected in us.
AFFIRMATION OF FAITH: APOSTLES CREED
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name
Thy Kingdom Come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen
