SERMON: Re-visionin the Foundations of Faith
SCRIPTURE: Psalm 139 1-18
AFFIRMATION OF FAITH New Zealand Book of Prayer
You, O God, are infinite and holy.
You create our world and give us life.
Your purpose overarches everything we do.
You have always been with us.
You, O God, are infinitely generous,
good beyond all measure.
You came to us before we came to you.
You have shown us in Jesus,
a Jewish Peasant, how to live in our world,
committed to justice, mercy, and peace.
You, O God are Holy Spirit.
You are with us now.
You empower us to be your good news to the world.
You reconcile and heal; you make all things new.
You are our God. We worship you.
THE LORD'S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name
Thy Kingdom Come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen
