the road to emmaus
On the road to Emmaus, two disciples encounter a stranger. They walk together and talk about Jesus. They invited the stranger (Jesus) to eat with them. When the stranger took the bread, gave thanks, broke it, and shared it with them the disciples’ eyes were opened and they realized it was JESUS!
Imagine what it was like for the two disciples, to figure out who the ‘stranger’ was. Now, imagine if YOU were one of the disciples! How would you have felt? The disciples didn’t really SEE Jesus until he did something familiar to them.
